Payments
Sales → Payments — the ledger behind every booking. Needs payment:read; taking and refunding payments needs payment:manage. The Payments feature must be switched on for the business, otherwise the page and its sidebar entry are hidden (see Configuration → Features).
The ledger
Columns: When, Booking, Provider, Provider ref, Amount, Refunded and Status. Filter by status and a From date and use Clear to reset. Refund on a row records a refund against that payment.
How a payment is taken
Payments are recorded on the booking itself (see Bookings) and appear here. Each has a provider:
| Provider | What it does |
|---|---|
| Manual | The default. Settles offline — cash, card machine, bank transfer or pay-at-venue — and needs no credentials. |
| Razorpay / Stripe | Online providers. They return a checkout; the checkout widget is not shown inside this admin, so those payments are completed outside it. |
| Package | Settles a balance with a session from a prepaid package the customer already holds. The record-payment panel offers it when the customer has sessions left for the service. |
Refunds are fully supported. Refunding a package payment hands the session back instead of moving money.
Deposits and cancellation fees
A service can require a deposit (a fixed amount or a percentage), and the business can charge a percentage fee on a late cancellation — both are configured in Services and Configuration → Booking rules.
